READ Xcalibur Foundation and Real Madrid Foundation develop their first joint Social Sports Academy in Uganda SHARE As a result of the agreement signed between Xcalibur Foundation and Real Madrid Foundation, 160 vulnerable girls, boys, and youth from Kampala, aged 5-16, will benefit from education in values, sports practice, and football training. The agreement was ratified by Enrique Sánchez, Executive Vice President of Real Madrid Foundation, and María José© Toro Sánchez, President of Xcalibur Foundation, in a ceremony attended by Álvaro Arbeloa, Real Madrid’s Ambassador. The Foundations reach the district of Nakawa, in Kampala, targeting an initial group of 160 children and youth from Naguru Katali Primary School. The school is located in the Naguru slum, a settlement that lacks basic needs such as access to drinking water, shelter, health and education. The project, in collaboration with the Real Madrid Foundation and MTN Uganda, will be operated by the local NGO Youth Sport Uganda (YSU). Moreover, it counts on the support of the Ugandan government, materialized through the Ministry of Education and Sports, with whom Xcalibur Foundation has signed a MoU. School teachers and community facilitators will be trained under Real Madrid Foundation’s unique and pioneer education in values methodology: for a Real Education: Values and Sport, to run sport and social activities with children and youth. These activities will enhance the life skills of children and youth, and address issues of wellbeing, child protection, conflict management, gender equality, disability and inclusion as well as positive child and youth development. It is worth highlighting the role of MTN Uganda, who has been committed to support this project, not only as the Title sponsor, but also through the institutional and personal involvement of its employees and managers. From the beginning, MTN has shown its passion, solidarity, and dedication, to be a part of this project and participate in all its stages. María José Toro Sánchez expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm for a project that will encourage school commitment and facilitate access to formal education, and promote key social values such as respect, equality, or health. I hope that it will be the first of many projects we do together. In representation of the Minister of Mines, Mrs. Antoinette NSamba Kalambayi, the Spanish Ambassador to the DRC, Mr. Carlos Robles Fraga, and several officials of the specialized services and the Mining Administration attended the event where Xcalibur Multiphysics completed the signing of the contract. According to the Minister, this contract represents the fulfillment of an important part of the DRC government’s action program, as it will make a significant change in the financing of the country’s infrastructures and economic sectors and will facilitate the protection and sustainable management as well as the revaluation of mining assets. For the DRC, this ambitious research will allow to plan and enhance the development of the mining industry and the country’s entire economy. At once, the Director General of the National Geological Survey of Congo, Prof. Donat Kampata, recalled the history of the creation of his service in response to the needs of the mining sector, and presented the advantages of this contract for both the Ministry of Mines and the geological survey. With this project, the Government will be able to plan the development of the mining industry and negotiate with investors. Mr. Andrés Blanco, CEO of Xcalibur Multiphysics, a world leader in airborne and marine geophysics, highlighted the true significance of this project. It will allow the country to discover and develop the great potential of its natural resources using the best available technology for obtaining accurate data, so as to attract international investors in the best conditions and develop the mining industry in a truly sustainable way. These IFR models for measurement while drilling (MWD) utilize both the outlines of the various shale plays (Bakken, Marcellus, Haynesville, Eagle Ford, Woodford, Niobrara, and Delaware) available via the Energy and Information Administration (EIA) that are published on ESRI’s LivingAtlas and the current Baker-Hughes Interactive Map Rig Count to delineate the extent of these pre-calculated models.The GIS team published the MagCUBE model coverage back in 2019 onto ESRI’s ArcGIS Online (AGOL) platform. AGOL serves a large portion of the GIS community with approximately 2.1 million active users. In December of 2021, the AGOL platform shared over 48 million items which included maps, apps, and layers and had over 153 billion basemap requests, such as those accessed in the Xcalibur MagCUBE WebMap.This interactive layer allows operators and drillers to easily see if their assets intersect with the Xcalibur model coverage on their ArcGIS desktops or their online webmaps.
