Em \u00e1reas geol\u00f3gicas complexas, a interpreta\u00e7\u00e3o integrada de dados de campos potenciais com outras informa\u00e7\u00f5es geof\u00edsicas e geol\u00f3gicas pode determinar a espessura da se\u00e7\u00e3o sedimentar, a configura\u00e7\u00e3o do embasamento, a geometria e a distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de vulc\u00e2nicas intrusivas intra-sedimentares, plataformas de carbonatos\/recifes de pin\u00e1culos, estruturas de sal e di\u00e1piros de lama.<\/p>\n<p>Os avan\u00e7os na instrumenta\u00e7\u00e3o, no software e nas t\u00e9cnicas de processamento, incluindo a implanta\u00e7\u00e3o do Airborne Gravity Gradiometry (AGG), proporcionaram melhorias significativas na resolu\u00e7\u00e3o espacial e na sensibilidade que permitem o mapeamento de paleocanais e outras caracter\u00edsticas estratigr\u00e1ficas, litologias e estruturas em cintur\u00f5es de dobras e de ac\u00famulo, onde o imageamento s\u00edsmico \u00e9 extremamente desafiador, e a identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de alvos rasos e pequenos nas zonas de transi\u00e7\u00e3o costeira e terrestre.<\/p>\n<p>O uso da Gradiometria Gravitacional Aerotransportada (AGG) para a explora\u00e7\u00e3o de petr\u00f3leo e g\u00e1s expandiu-se significativamente nas \u00faltimas duas d\u00e9cadas, especialmente em \u00e1reas de fronteira. Em alguns ambientes geol\u00f3gicos, o uso dessa tecnologia se tornou uma ferramenta essencial e recebeu o cr\u00e9dito por algumas das descobertas mais importantes da \u00faltima d\u00e9cada. A capacidade da tecnologia AGG de cobrir \u00e1reas muito grandes em um curto per\u00edodo de tempo permitiu que os exploradores otimizassem a quantidade de aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00edsmica antes da perfura\u00e7\u00e3o, reduzindo significativamente o ciclo de explora\u00e7\u00e3o.
